Webinars Lifting the Fog: The American Psychiatric Association is considering the inclusion of complicated grief disorder in the next edition of its diagnostic manual. This webinar will introduce practitioners to principles and procedures that have been shown to be effective as a treatment for complicated grief (CG), as well as review the different criteria sets being considered for inclusion in DSM-V. In this webinar, Dr. Shear will describe the components of her method, Complicated Grief Treatment (CGT), and share the results of her research that compares the outcomes of CGT and interpersonal psychotherapy. The presentation will also include an approach to screening, diagnosis and monitoring of CG symptoms, a description of the model and principles that underlie the treatment, examples of treatment formulation, and strategies and procedures used in modules or components of CGT. This course is recommended for experienced therapists or counselors who seek knowledge about complicated grief treatment. Learning Objectives:
